The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team in a research and development environment focused on high‑power microwave, RF, and pulsed‑power systems. Responsibilities include leading designs from concept to testing and collaborating with machinists and vendors.

Qualifications

• BSME with 8+ years of relevant experience or MSME with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience developing mechanical hardware from concept through design, fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks including 3D modeling and detailed drawings, experience with PDMWorks.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D solid models and detailed mechanical designs from requirements through fabrication and testing.
• Perform engineering analysis to support design decisions and verify performance.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings with tolerances and manufacturing requirements.
• Design hardware for manufacturability, material selection, machining, welding, and assembly.
• Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, vendors, and engineers to develop hardware.
