Job summary

Ferrotec, based in Livermore, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and draft components, assemblies and subsystems while optimizing for performance, manufacturability and cost.

You will validate designs through analysis and testing, manage engineering change orders, and mentor junior engineers as part of a cross-functional team dedicated to delivering robust mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 6-10 years of experience.
• Master's degree with 3-6 years of experience is also acceptable.
• Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and GD&T is essential.

Responsibilities

• Designs and drafts components, assemblies, and subsystems while optimizing for functionality, manufacturability, and cost.
• Validates designs through analysis and testing.
• Manages engineering change orders and mentors junior engineers.
