Job summary

Ferrotec in Livermore, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support daily production, assembly methods, tooling, and NPI activities. You will investigate issues, document solutions, and work with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and quality.

You will review drawings and specifications, apply lean techniques, and assist with ECO/ECN changes while training operators on updated methods. A 1–2 year manufacturing engineering background is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related technical discipline.
1–2 years of manufacturing engineering or production-related experience, including internships or co-ops.
Ability to manage technical issues from failure ID to corrective action and closure.

Responsibilities

Support daily production by investigating routine assembly, workmanship, material, tooling, fixture, and documentation issues.
Create/update work instructions, routings, process flows, standard work, and build records with engineering review.
Interpret drawings, BOMs, specifications, and GD&T to support repeatable assembly processes.
