Job summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and field engineering of data center projects in a hybrid Denver, CO office role. This position emphasizes coordinating across MEP disciplines, ensuring design alignment, and delivering efficient cooling strategies for hyperscale facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background, 3+ years in data center MEP design, on-site construction exposure, and proficiency with Procore, AutoDesk Forma,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of data center MEP design experience.
• Hands-on field construction exposure with HVAC and Plumbing.
• Proficient in Procore, AutoDesk Forma, Blue Beam Revu.
• Knowledge of BMS/EMS and data center cooling systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Support design managers and MEP engineers in design, permitting, and coordination of construction drawings.
• Coordinate and ensure MEP design requirements are evaluated on a project-by-project basis.
• Advise on data center cooling strategies including air- and liquid-cooled solutions.
• Provide on-site field support during construction.
• Collaborate to optimize designs for constructability.
• Assist in preparation of CDs, drawings, specs, and performance modeling.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs to ensure quality and project requirements.
• Identify risks across the project lifecycle from origination to operations.
• Support other technical tasks as needed.
