Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in support of data center and mission-critical facilities. The role focuses on leading mechanical design from concept through construction and requires collaboration with clients, project managers, electrical teams, architects and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering (Mechanical emphasis), a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architectural Engineering (Mechanical emphasis)
• 3+ years experience in mechanical system design
• Experience in sustainable design/LEED desired
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• PE license
• Experience with commercial/institutional facilities
• Proficient in MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects and other disciplines.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, and calculations.
• Prepare RFI responses, shop drawings, site investigations and construction administration.
• Provide QA/QC on the work of other engineers and coordinators.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
