Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a large, growing practice focusing on Data Center and Mission Critical facilities. You will lead projects from concept through construction, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients, PMs, electrical teams, and architects to deliver technically excellent designs.

The role requires PE/P.Eng, a strong background in mechanical systems for commercial/institutional buildings, and proficiency with MS Office and design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings.
• Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept to construction documents.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, electrical teams, architects and other disciplines.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications and calculations.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, and perform site investigations.
