Metric DCX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own mechanical engineering across multiple data center infrastructure projects, with a focus on liquid cooling, thermal management and mission-critical cooling systems.

You will shape engineering standards, influence technical decisions, and support delivery of next-generation AI infrastructure across a remote US-based role with up to 25% travel. Lead and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license required.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of data center cooling systems and liquid cooling.
• Experience with direct-to-chip cooling, CDUs, and chilled-water systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and engage senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical engineering and design across multiple data center infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review cooling solutions for high-density AI/GPU environments, including direct-to-chip liquid cooling, CDUs and secondary cooling loops.
• Oversee chilled-water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers and associated piping systems.
• Review mechanical calculations, equipment sizing, piping layouts, P&IDs and engineering specifications.
• Establish mechanical design standards and ensure consistency across projects.
• Lead technical design reviews and resolve engineering and constructability challenges.
• Work closely with electrical engineers, construction teams, equipment manufacturers and external consultants.
• Support equipment selection, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
