Job summary

The engineer will own the mechanical design, mentor engineers, and drive innovation across global teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for data centers and healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with 8+ years in mechanical design.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in mechanical design.
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years in mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and launch of critical power infrastructure products meeting requirements and Eaton commitments.
• Own mechanical design of assigned products, decisions based on analysis, DFMA, cost targets and input from cross-functional teams.
• Develop mechanical systems using 3D CAD, analysis, prototype validation, and product testing.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams on UPS and energy storage for data centers and healthcare.
• Drive architecture, layout, and detailed design balancing performance, manufacturability, serviceability, reliability and cost.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and mentoring across product lifecycle.
• Support prototypes, verification/validation, deployments, and UL certification activities.
• Identify improvements to processes, tools, and test methodologies to raise quality and speed to market.
