Campbell Grinder Company in Michigan is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in CNC grinding machines to join our team.

You will lead concept design, model with SolidWorks, run simulations, oversee prototyping and testing, and collaborate with electrical and applications teams to ensure seamless machine performance.

The role requires a strong track record in high-precision machinery, mentoring, and driving continuous improvements while meeting project timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical machinery or capital equipment design, focused on CNC grinding.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-precision CNC grinding machine components.
• Lead concept designs based on sales handoff and customer feedback.
• Create 3D models and drawings in CAD and perform simulations.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Applications teams to integrate controls.
• Mentor junior engineers and review drawings for accuracy.
• Support field assembly, commissioning, and service troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve quality.
