Dauch Corporation in Detroit, MI is seeking a CNC Grinding Development Specialist to lead the development, optimization, and implementation of ID and OD grinding processes for precision components. The role requires hands-on expertise with grinding equipment, wheel selection, workholding, and CNC grinding routines at our Advanced Technology Development Center.

Candidate should have strong problem-solving ability, be able to interpret drawings and GD&T, and possess experience with precision

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in precision ID/OD grinding.
• Strong knowledge of CNC grinding equipment and grinding process development.
• Experience with grinding wheels, abrasives, dressing technologies, and coolant systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize ID and OD grinding processes for new and existing products.
• Develop CNC grinding programs and optimize existing programs for quality and productivity.
• Conduct process trials, capability studies, and run-at-rate evaluations.
• Establish grinding parameters including wheel speed, work speed, infeed rates, plunges and traverses, spark-out, dressing frequency.
