Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering. This role involves leading a team of engineers in designing energy-efficient building systems, managing projects from design through construction, and working directly with clients to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader with a passion for mentoring and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, providing technical guidance and professional development support.
  2. Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to budgets.
  3. Collaborate with clients, architects, and stakeholders to develop sustainable mechanical designs.
  4. Design HVAC, ventilation, plumbing systems from concept to construction.
  5. Review and approve technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  6. Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve system performance.
  7. Evaluate contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for compliance.
  8. Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, and data for feasibility and cost.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues and optimize outcomes.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in mechanical engineering and energy solutions.
Desired Experience
  1. 10+ years in consulting mechanical engineering.
  2. PE license preferred; EIT considered.
  3. Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  4. Expertise in HVAC systems, cooling/heating plants, and MEP design.
  5. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  6. Experience in client interfacing and business development.
Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
