Job summary

Fisica, Inc. in Simi Valley, CA, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer to lead design, testing, and validation of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

The role focuses on battery and charger products, BMS collaboration, and rigorous testing in lab or field environments. You will work with customers to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions while supporting multiple programs and maintaining documentation and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 6 years of experience.
• SolidWorks 3D CAD with strong visualization; drafting with ASME Y14.5 knowledge.
• Experience in FEA simulation (Ansys preferred).
• Proven ability to design, test and experiments; support testing.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Experience in electronic circuit design preferred.
• Ability to obtain a future Security Clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle development of battery and charger products from concept to production.
• Design, develop, analyze, and test battery and charger products for rugged environments.
• Support Battery Management System designs; provide feedback on proposals.
• Collaborate with customers to capture key requirements and present at reviews.
• Develop testing approaches and procedures; perform battery testing in lab or field.
• Conduct failure and root cause analyses; support multiple programs.
