Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking hands‑on Mechanical Design Engineers to design, test, and scale mission‑critical hardware for autonomous air, sea, ground, and strike platforms. You will align with Core Tech, Lethality, or DFM/DFA teams, leading fast, iterative hardware development.

You will own projects from concept through prototyping and into volume manufacturing, applying GD&T,DFM principles, and robust fabrication knowledge to deliver scalable hardware under strict standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional mechanical design experience from concept to fabrication and testing.
• Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or Creo) and PLM/PDM (Teamcenter).
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Hands‑on prototyping and fabrication experience with root‑cause analysis.
• Background applying statics, dynamics, heat transfer, and structural mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Own components and assemblies from requirements through prototyping and volume manufacturing.
• Create high‑fidelity 3D models and 2D drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Design parts across fabrication processes (CNC, weldments, sheet metal, molding, composites).
• Apply first‑principles analysis and FEA/hand calculations for performance validation.
• Conduct 1D/3D tolerance analysis and DFMEAs to prevent production bottlenecks.
• Build prototypes, write test plans, and conduct environmental/bench tests.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Test teams.
