Job summary

Astemo America is seeking a skilled engineer to support technology development for mechanical electronic controllers and inverters. You will work with a global engineering team to design and develop an inverter/power control unit that meets customer requirements.

The role follows a hybrid work structure in the United States, with responsibilities spanning requirements analysis, multi‑project planning, and on‑site support during sample and production phases.

Qualifications

• BSME minimum required.
• 5+ years of practical work designing automotive powertrain components, inverters preferred.
• Experience with 3-D CAD and 2-D drawings, and CAE tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technology development for xEV inverter projects in Astemo Americas.
• Plan and manage multiple projects to meet goals within timelines.
• Interpret customer requirements and translate to optimum inverter designs.
• Coordinate technical communication between OEMs, U.S. and Japan design teams, and suppliers.
• Support design validation, prototype builds, and production launches.
• Prepare technical data and participate in pricing and cost investigations.
