Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. in Greenfield, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support technology development for automotive inverter controllers. Qualifications

• BSME or MSME degree with relevant automotive design exposure.
• 5+ years' experience in automotive powertrain/inverter design.
• Experience with 3D CAD (CATIA preferred) and 2D drawings.
• Ability to communicate with customers and suppliers effectively.
• Strong project management and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Fluent English; Japanese language skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support technology development for new xEV inverter programs.
• Plan and manage multiple projects to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Translate customer requirements into optimum inverter designs with global teams.
• Coordinate technical communication between OEMs, US/Japan teams, and suppliers.
• Support validation, prototype builds, and production launches.
• Assist with pricing, quoting, and cost investigation activities.
