Job summary

ENGEL North America is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and model automation cells, retrofits and equipment configurations. You will lead the ME team, develop 2D drawings and maintain BOMs, while supporting field installations and project execution.

You will drive mechanical standards, collaborate across teams, and ensure safety-compliant design. This role offers strong growth within a global plastics processing leader and requires hands-on engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Create mechanical designs and 3D models for automation cells and retrofits.
• Lead ME team; maintain design standards and quality deliverables.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for field work and projects.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling of automation equipment and tooling.
• Create 2D drawings for automated cells and parts.
• Develop and maintain BOM for production orders in SAP.
• Submit items for procurement and update BOM as needed.
• Provide cross-functional engineering support and participate in reviews and FATs.
