Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company in Lake Orion, MI, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to contribute to the design, development, and execution of automated manufacturing solutions. You will work onsite at our Lake Orion facility, collaborating to solve manufacturing challenges.

Requirements include 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, CAD proficiency (NX, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD), and strong communication skills. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD software: NX, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.
• FE Exam or EIT desirable.
• Strong application of standard engineering principles and problem solving.
• Travel up to 25% including overnight and international.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, Associate's Degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC), or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years' work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Experienced with CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD)
• FE Exam, or EIT desirable
• Proficient in the application of standard and advanced engineering principles, practices, and procedures
• Breadth and depth of experience to enterprise engineering problems
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish tasksAble to quickly recognize and fix common engineering problems based on experience, including review and critique of others' work
• Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.
• Travel required up to 25% including overnight and international
