Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to design, develop, integrate, and test advanced aerospace and defense systems across the full product lifecycle from concept to production. This includes CAD modeling, GD&T, and cross-functional teamwork to ensure robust performance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Systems, Test, and Supply Chain teams, plus design reviews and problem solving to advance complex assemblies and mission systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Practical understanding of core mechanical engineering principles.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for aerospace/defense.
• Create, update, and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Support hardware development through concept to production and sustainment.
• Perform design trades and develop subsystem integration concepts.
• Support prototype builds and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Systems, Test, and Supply Chain.
• Apply GD&T and industry drawing standards.
• Support analyses to validate designs and ensure reliability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide engineering input.
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing approaches for performance and producibility.
