Job summary

CACI International Inc seeks a Mechanical Engineer (T3) to lead design, analysis, integration and testing of complex mechanical systems for defense and aerospace programs. You will drive hardware from concept through prototype, qualification testing, and production transition while collaborating with IPTs across systems and manufacturing engineering.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 5–8+ years of experience, expert CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, Siemens NX), and

Qualifications

5–8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting.
ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting.
Strong foundation in structural mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics, materials, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and MIL-STD standards.
U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance or eligibility for Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, analysis, integration, and testing of complex mechanical systems and sub-assemblies for defense/aerospace applications.
Create and review 3D CAD models, layouts, and detailed drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
Perform structural, thermal, dynamic, and environmental analyses (FEA/CFD).
Coordinate with IPTs and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and LRIP to full-rate production.
Provide lifecycle technical leadership through technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
