Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer III to provide mechanical engineering expertise in early design stages and coordinate project design for space mechanisms, actuators, motors, and controllers in a space environment.

The role requires advanced mechanical design skills, strong collaboration with project teams, and ability to mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a specialized discipline or equivalent; or nine years in lieu of a Bachelor's.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.
• Experience in the design of electronic or electromechanical products.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive mechanical designs for space mechanisms and components.
• Provide technical support to project teams from design to production.
• Mentor ME I and ME II employees and review their work.
• Create and review engineering documentation packages.
• Contribute to design reviews with calculations, drawings, and analyses to meet specs.
