Jobot in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems. The role is on-site and permanent, collaborating with design and production teams to deliver high-quality products from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with Lean and Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• ≥5 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong experience with product development, manufacturing processes, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and development of innovative mechanical systems and products, utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Overseeing the entire product development process, from initial concept to final production, ensuring all projects are completed within the set timelines and budget.
• Implementing and improving manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency, utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
• Conducting thorough analyses of mechanical systems and products to ensure they meet all necessary requirements and standards.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate defects and improve overall product quality.
• Mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.

• 4. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• 5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
• 6. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire team members.
• 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• 8. A keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
