Plan B Climatech in New York, NY seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer with 6–10+ years of HVAC design experience to head the mechanical discipline on major commercial and residential projects. You will own key client relationships, set technical direction, and build a team around you in a hybrid Midtown office.

The role requires leadership, strong knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code and ASHRAE standards, and a track record of delivering large projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 to 10+ years HVAC design experience at an NYC MEP firm.
• PE license preferred (NY or reciprocity).
• Proven track record leading large projects and teams.
• Expert knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code and ASHRAE standards.
• Strong client facing presence and business development experience.
• Proficient with Revit-based workflows and load calculation software.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the mechanical discipline across a portfolio of projects from concept to closeout.

• Sign and seal drawings as Engineer of Record.

• Lead proposals, fee estimates and client presentations, and help win new work.
• Hire, mentor and develop engineers and designers.

Lead Mechanical Engineer (6 to 10+ years)

The role

Our client, an award winning NYC MEP consultancy, is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to head up its mechanical discipline on major commercial and residential projects. You will set technical direction, own key client relationships and build the team around you. This is a leadership hire with a clear route to Associate or Principal.

What you will do

• Lead the mechanical discipline across a portfolio of projects from concept to closeout

What you bring

• PE license preferred (New York, or able to obtain NY reciprocity)
• Proven track record leading large projects and teams
• Expert knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code, ASHRAE standards and NYC Energy Conservation Code
• Strong client facing presence and business development experience
• Confident with Revit based workflows and load calculation software

Nice to have

• LEED AP or Certified Passive House Consultant
• Experience with energy modeling, audits and large retrofit or electrification projects
• Existing client network across the NYC owner and developer market
