A globally recognised multidisciplinary engineering and design consultancy, is seeking an Associate Principal level Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join its growing New York-area team.

This is a strategic leadership hire focused on strengthening the firm’s market presence, client relationships, and business development capabilities across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in work-winning activities, client engagement, and the delivery of technically complex multidisciplinary projects.

The role offers strong visibility internally and externally, with the opportunity to work alongside senior leadership and contribute directly to long-term regional growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support business development and strategic growth initiatives across the New York market
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Lead or contribute to proposals, presentations, interviews, and bid submissions
• Represent the business at industry networking events and conferences
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
• Mentor and support junior engineering staff
• Contribute to commercial strategy, risk management, and project performance oversight

• Strong experience within building engineering consulting environments

Expected compensation range is approximately $180k–$260k base salary depending on experience, technical background, and market alignment, alongside a highly competitive overall benefits package.
