Job summary

Plan B Climatech in Boston, MA seeks Mechanical Engineers at junior, intermediate, and senior levels to design HVAC and hydronic systems on complex buildings. Roles emphasize ownership, coordination with trades in Revit, and submittal management.

Junior to senior tracks offer mentoring toward PE licensure, with a pathway from Engineer to Associate. Hybrid work is available: three days in the office, two from home.

Qualifications

• HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting environment.

• EIT, PE or working toward it (PE required at senior level).

Mechanical Engineers | Junior, Intermediate & Senior | MEP Design Consultancy | Boston, MA

Type: Full-time, permanent

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 from home

A well-regarded Boston MEP consultancy is growing its mechanical team at every level. It wants engineers who take real design ownership on complex buildings.

The roles

• Junior (0-5 years): design HVAC and hydronic systems alongside senior PEs. You'll run heating and cooling loads, size equipment and support CA, with mentoring toward your PE. $80k - $110k.
• Intermediate (5-12 years): lead the mechanical design on your own projects, coordinate with the other trades in Revit, and own submittals and RFIs. $110k - $145k.
• Senior / PE (12+ years): lead the mechanical discipline on healthcare, life sciences and higher ed projects, stamp drawings, develop the team and support BD, with a route to Associate. $145k - $190k.

What we're looking for

• HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting environment, at the level above
• Revit; Trace, HAP or IES a plus
• EIT, PE or working toward it (PE required at senior level)
• Interest in electrification and decarbonisation projects
