Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of HVAC and plumbing systems for design-build projects.
- Perform and review heating and cooling load calculations and equipment selections.
- Develop mechanical system layouts and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and support project execution.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.
- Review designs, specifications, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and code compliance.
- Participate in project planning, client meetings, and construction coordination meetings.
- Identify and resolve technical design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support estimating, value engineering, and preconstruction efforts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business growth initiatives.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems design, plumbing design, or mechanical construction.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical design principles, plumbing systems, building codes, and construction practices.
- Experience leading mechanical design efforts on commercial or industrial projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Experience in a design-build environment.
- Experience with healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, data center, education, or commercial projects.
- Knowledge of Navisworks, SysQue, and Trane Trace.
- Piping and sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Cost estimating and value engineering experience.

Base Salary: $105k-$145k. This role may be eligible for participation in discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
