Job summary

J&T in Chicago seeks a senior Mechanical/Plumbing Design Lead to guide engineers, manage project work plans, and ensure quality of work products. You will align systems selections with basis of design and coordinate with other disciplines and client teams.

Expect construction-phase support, submittal reviews, and RFI responses, while mentoring staff and maintaining standards with senior engineers. Experience with HVAC and plumbing design, Revit proficiency, and a professional license are

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of focused mechanical/plumbing design experience.
• Mechanical Engineering Professional license.
• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical engineers and designers.
• Develop and manage project work plans.
• Responsible for the systems selections, basis of design and quality of the work product.
• Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members.
• Represent the Mechanical discipline at client meetings and effectively communicate with clients as needed.

Compensation range: $150,000 – $170,000 annually, or commensurate with experience
