What You'll Be Doing
- Lead HVAC and plumbing system design for design-build projects
- Perform and review heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing
- Develop mechanical system layouts and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and support project execution throughout the project lifecycle
- Review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and designs for quality and code compliance
- Participate in project planning, construction coordination, and client meetings
- Support value engineering, estimating, and preconstruction efforts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor engineers and designers while providing technical leadership across project teams
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, HVAC design, plumbing design, or mechanical construction
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, building codes, and construction practicesProven experience leading mechanical design efforts on commercial or industrial projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
Preferred Experience
- Design-build project experience
- Healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, data center, educational, or commercial project experience
- Experience with Navisworks, SysQue, and Trane Trace
- Cost estimating and value engineering experience
- Piping and sheet metal fabrication knowledge
