Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer for our Nashville, TN location. The role involves converting architectural drawings into build-ready models, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring up-to-date models throughout the project.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is required. The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree with extensive experience on large-scale projects, strong design and communication skills, and familiarity with engineering

Formación

• Two-year technical degree in an applicable discipline plus six years applicable experience OR eight years applicable experience.
• Experience with large scope projects and Revit preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans from multiple disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and engineering software.

Responsabilidades

• Process drawings from the architect into usable models for the design team.
• Coordinate project setup and ensure current model availability through communication with architects.
• Prepare electronic drawings with accuracy and efficiency using industry software.
• Develop design approaches in coordination with project engineers.
• Support system design layout and sizing for assigned projects.
• Assist in studies, load calculations, and equipment selection.
