Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our Mechanical design team. The role focuses on developing HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, and offices, while ensuring code compliance and energy efficiency.

You will collaborate with architects, electrical and structural engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated designs, review submittals, and support site visits and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of MEP mechanical design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiar with HVAC codes and standards.
• Experience with BIM, CFD, energy modeling.
• Commissioning experience.
• LEED/ENERGY STAR or USGBC experience.

Responsibilities

• Support design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, and offices.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing system layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical, structural engineers to ensure integration in Revit models.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and assist with record drawings; participate in site visits and commissioning.
