Job summary

Meade is seeking a Mechanical Designer III to join our design team. The role focuses on developing HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other projects, with emphasis on cost-efficient, sustainable designs.

You will perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system optimization while coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure seamless BIM integration and compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in BIM and HVAC design tools; familiarity with LEED or ENERGY STAR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, including ductwork and equipment placement.
• Perform load analysis, equipment sizing, and system optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers to integrate systems in BIM.
• Prepare and edit mechanical equipment specifications and select systems.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders; assist with record drawings and site visits.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
