Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Sr Mechanical Designer with extensive experience in mechanical systems design for military applications. The role requires NX CAD proficiency, GD&T, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and DFMA optimized designs.

Candidate should have 10+ years in mechanical engineering and tooling/handling equipment, with a background in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Siemens NX CAD (v10.0+) for military applications.
• Experience with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5 and military specs.
• Familiarity with tooling and fabrication processes in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Generate high quality 2D and 3D NX CAD files and drawings.
• Prepare detail and assembly drawings with Indented Parts Lists for military use.
• Apply ANSI Y14.5 GD&T and military standards to technical data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for DFMA design solutions.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses.
