Textron Systems, Hill AFB, Utah, seeks a Full-time Mechanical Engineer for military applications. You will design mechanical components and assemblies, create data packages, and transition designs to production. Strong CAD, GD&T, and DFMA skills are essential, with eligibility for a Secret clearance.

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in related fields are expected. Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and communicate with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Comfortable designing mechanical components and systems exposed to extreme hypersonic flight conditions, including electronics packaging and interface control documents.
• Experience leading mechanical/structure design activities for aeroshell design under high loading and thermal gradients.
• Design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in detailed design of structural components.
• Contribute to development and design integration of mechanical components and systems.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs, and material lists.
• Prepare and direct high-quality mechanical/electro-mechanical drawings.
• Transition product design to production and test.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create design reports and presentations summarizing results.
