Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to deliver mechanical design services for construction drawings and specifications across healthcare, Federal, industrial, municipal, and commercial projects. The role emphasizes HVAC and specialty ventilation, system evaluations, and code compliance.

You will conduct load calculations, document existing systems, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.

Formación

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical design including base building HVAC and specialty systems.
• LEED certification/experience is not a requirement but is a plus.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, with organizational skills to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsabilidades

• Develop HVAC and specialty ventilation system designs based on project scope and RFPs.
• Plan mechanical systems for building types including base HVAC and specialty systems.
• Perform load/energy calculations using Trace 700, Carrier HAP, IES, etc.
• Conduct existing building surveys and document HVAC systems.
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies.
• Coordinate with plumbing, structural, electrical, and fire protection teams.
• Provide construction administration support and RFI responses.
