Salas O’Brien in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create mechanical designs and drawings for diverse projects, including healthcare, industrial, municipal, and commercial sectors. The role emphasizes base building HVAC and specialty systems within a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform load calculations, evaluate equipment durability, and prepare detailed design documentation, collaborating across disciplines to ensure code compliance and construction success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design including base building HVAC and specialty systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• LEED certification/experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop HVAC and specialized process ventilation system designs per project scope and RFPs.
• Plan mechanical systems for various building types including base building HVAC and specialty systems.
• Perform load/energy calculations using standard software.
• Conduct existing building surveys and document HVAC systems.
• Prepare design calculations and equipment selections.
• Coordinate work with plumbing, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Provide construction administration support and RFI responses.
