Job summary

Salas O’Brien seeks a Mechanical Designer to provide HVAC and ventilation system design for healthcare, Federal, industrial, municipal and commercial projects.

The role involves load calculations, code research, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to produce construction drawings and specifications. A minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD are required. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC and ventilation system designs based on project scope.
• Perform load and energy calculations using industry software.
• Coordinate with plumbing, structural, electrical and fire protection teams.
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports and construction drawings.
• Provide construction administration support and RFI responses.
• Complete code compliance research for hazardous occupancies.
