Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Designer to support operations in Washington, DC. You will design mechanical and electromechanical systems, create 3D CAD models, drawings and manufacturing documents, and prototype and test to ensure hardware performance across multiple customer locations.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD/CAM.
• Experience creating technical drawings, specifications and analyses.
• Hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of materials, machining, tolerances and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Design robust mechanical and electromechanical systems and components.
• Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing documentation.
• Analyze requirements and translate to detailed design specs.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot to meet performance goals.
• Coordinate with teams and suppliers to implement hardware.
