Jefferson Lab is seeking a mechanical design engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering Group in the Engineering Division in Newport News, VA. You will design complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment, and prepare layouts using CAD tools.

You’ll coordinate with engineers, physicists, and customers, read blueprints, and produce fabrication documentation while ensuring quality and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 5+ years relevant experience in mechanical/electrical design.
• Proficient with CAD tools and drawing production.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.

Responsabilidades

• Create and modify equipment for installations at Jefferson Lab and other labs.
• System layout and detailed design of SRF cryomodules and related piping.
• Produce fabrication documentation using NX/Teamcenter and AutoCAD.
• Read and understand blueprint drawings and technical data sheets.
• Ensure organization and quality of own work; manage multiple tasks.
