Jefferson Lab is seeking a skilled technician to support the Hall C experimental program. You will fabricate, assemble, install, and test detectors, magnets, and infrastructure hardware, while providing technical support during operations and maintenance of Hall systems.

Must read complex drawings, operate CNC tools, weld with TIG/MIG, and safely handle cranes and aerial platforms. Willingness for on-call rotations and occasional OT is required; formal safety training is mandatory.

Qualifikationen

• Requires 5+ years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to read electronics, mechanical, and cryogenic drawings.

Aufgaben

• Fabricate, assemble, install and test detectors, magnets, and power systems.
• Provide technical support during experiments and operate/maintain Hall systems.
• Read drawings and fabricate parts with conventional or CNC tools.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and aerial platforms; follow safety rules.
• Join a rotating on-call schedule and work overtime as needed.
