Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Revit design tasks for the Utilities & Central Energy group in the United States. The role focuses on producing quality construction documents and coordinating with other disciplines, while mentoring junior designers.

The successful candidate will manage design tasks independently, drive project meetings, and contribute to project execution from concept to completion for district energy and energy distribution

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of design experience.
• Expertise in 3D design, mechanical general arrangements, piping systems, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Experience in the review of mechanical equipment drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive industrial project drawings, including General Arrangements, PIDs, 3D models, piping, and Isometrics.
• Design complete systems for assigned projects, managing the preparation of drawing documents.
• Coordinate work with stakeholders and provide technical support and direction.
• Lead design meetings, reviews, and represent the company at project meetings.
• Plan and execute field work and site visits; gather accurate information.
