The role emphasizes leading project drawings in AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Revit, with responsibility for construction documents, coordination across disciplines, and client interaction. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of design experience, strong 3D and piping skills, and can manage projects and mentor junior staff while traveling up to 10% domestically.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of design experience.
• Expertise in 3D design, mechanical general arrangements, piping systems, and P&ID.
• Ability to review mechanical equipment drawings and develop complex layouts.
• Strong project management with ability to lead and mentor junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive industrial drawings (GA, P&IDs, 3D models, piping, isometrics).
• Design complete systems and manage drawing document preparation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and manage client relationships.
• Lead design meetings and reviews, act as project representative.
• Plan field work and site visits; prepare for field data collection.
• Estimate hours, scope, and contribute to project budgets and schedules.
• Provide leadership and on-the-job training to junior designers.
• Lead projects from inception to completion and improve processes.
