Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a skilled team member to assist in developing the Lunar Transportation system, focusing on avionics part and assembly design. This role requires expertise in CAD tools, particularly Creo Parametric and Windchill, as well as a strong background in aerospace development.

Qualified candidates should have an associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design and at least 4 years of experience in aerospace or a similar field. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including insurance and stock options.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design.
  • 4+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry.
  • Proficiency in model generation and release processes using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
  • Proficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
  • Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.
  • Experience in designing spacecraft avionics parts and assemblies.
  • Experience working in a cross‑functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world‑class engineered products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and task ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing design layouts, creating detail part, assembly, and install models, and releasing data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
  • Applying relevant company techniques to plan, layout, and maintain engineering designs.
  • Interface with other vehicle subsystem teams to create and place avionics boxes.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings to ensure specifications and standards are met.
  • Implementing engineering and manufacturing standard methodologies for cost and performance.
