Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CAD designer/engineer to support Stage 1 Tanks hardware. You will design and revise drawings, maintain assembly data, and automate tasks with scripts. You’ll collaborate with design and analysis teams to resolve issues and ensure quality while upholding safety standards.

You should have 5+ years in aerospace or similar industries, strong 3D CAD skills, and proficiency with Creo and Windchill. Some travel to FL facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum AS degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years designing/drafting aerospace, automotive, or similar structures.
• Hands-on experience on production floor or in service.
• Proficiency with Creo and Windchill; other PLM acceptable.
• Strong 3D CAD design and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and revise released drawings based on engineering change requests.
• Balance tasks across Stage 1 Tanks products.
• Maintain Stage 1 Tank assembly data and automate tasks with scripts.
• Design layouts and drawings; modify existing designs.
• Apply drafting standards to plan and maintain data for drawings.
• Implement standards for cost, schedule, and performance.
• Support product structure organization and naming standards.
• Self-prioritize and schedule team work activity.
• Develop and deploy drafting standards; act as standards checker.
• Collaborate with design and analysis teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to safe human spaceflight with quality and leadership.
