Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace’s Sr Mechanical Design Engineering Manager - PGM leads the mechanical design engineering function for generators and motors across commercial, defense, and advanced programs. You’ll direct architecture, detailed design, and cross-functional integration while delivering new and sustained hardware on a global scale.

The role manages a global team, drives digital engineering adoption, and ensures compliance with ASME Y14.5 and aerospace certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field.
• 10+ years of mechanical product development or production experience with rotating electrical machines.
• Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams and complex technical programs.
• Experience with organizational change management and multi-functional stakeholder organizations.
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication with aerospace leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive mechanical design strategy, standards, and execution for all PGM hardware.
• Lead mechanical work scope and cost estimates for new generator/motor development.
• Manage, coach, and develop a global team of mechanical design engineers.
• Partner with leadership on technology direction and standards.
