Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC seeks a Sr Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical design for power generators and motors across programs. You will drive architecture, detailed design, and cross-functional integration while partnering with global teams to deliver NPI and sustainment.

You will manage a high-performance team, champion digital engineering, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards while guiding strategic investments in PGM technology and CAD/tooling

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mechanical product development or production with rotating electrical machines.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex programs.
• Experience with change management and multi-functional stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design strategy for PGM hardware including rotors, stators, housings.
• Ensure designs meet performance, durability, manufacturability, cost, and certs.
• Guide RCCA and failure investigations at a senior level.
• Drive design models, drawings, analyses and configuration releases.
• Coach global mechanical design engineers and build succession pipelines.
