Job summary

SCRAM Systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and enhance portable electronics products. You will work with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and quality teams to develop innovative designs using SolidWorks and to drive manufacturability and cost reductions.

The role requires 20+ years of progressive project responsibilities, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and expertise in Stage-Gate product development.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
20+ years of progressive project responsibilities, ownership, and scope.
Experience using formal Product Development Processes (Stage-Gate).
Experience with portable electronics devices and/or medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design new products and enhance existing products with engineers and manufacturing teams.
Generate 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
Lead cross-functional teams and align technical initiatives with business goals.
Ensure manufacturability and drive cost reductions in production.
Capture design verification, tolerance analysis, and design documentation per standards.
Mentor team members and contribute to continuous engineering improvements.
