Job summary

Oracle in Denver, Colorado is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to independently design and develop mechanical systems, enclosures, and packaging for data center and cloud products. You will use CAD tools (ProE, SolidWorks) to create 3D models and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, manufacturability, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Independently designs and develops mechanical systems including components, enclosures, and packaging.
• Reviews mechanical strength and reliability of materials and components, identifies failure points.
• Uses CAD tools to develop 3D models and detailed designs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manages mechanical design aspects of engineering projects to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Conducts stress analysis, FEA reviews, and reliability assessment to refine designs.
• Supports prototype-to-production transitions with Operations and external manufacturers.
• Collaborates with electrical, components, and manufacturing teams to optimize manufacturability.
• Leads thermal management and environmental testing; ensures compliance with standards.
• Oversees prototype builds and testing to meet performance goals and identify improvements.
• Engages with suppliers to develop high-quality components and assemblies.
