Job summary

Oracle seeks a skilled mechanical engineer to independently design and develop mechanical systems, enclosures, and packaging for high-reliability hardware. You will create 3D models with CAD tools, support prototype-to-production transitions, and ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Responsibilities include thermal design, structural analysis, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing improvement of materials and processes to meet project goals and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Experience designing mechanical systems for electronic hardware.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, enclosures, and packaging for hardware products.
• Review material strength and reliability; perform root-cause analysis to improve designs.
• Work with operations and suppliers for prototype-to-production transitions.
• Conduct thermal management planning and mechanical architecture for server generations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering and manufacturing.
