Job summary

Axon is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end mechanical design for next-gen hardware. You will own concepts, optimize structures, and collaborate with product, electrical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, high-performance devices.

Strong CAD skills and hands-on prototyping are essential. The role emphasizes thermal analysis, system integration, and design for harsh environments, with hybrid work in Sterling, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
• Hands-on prototyping experience with fabrication tools.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and SBCs.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, EMI, and shock/vibration.
• Experience with thermal/structural simulation tools.
• Familiarity with MIL-STDs and designing for harsh environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities
