Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for its Starlink satellites team in Washington. You will design the factory of the future and lead projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include developing production systems and tooling while ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing.

The position offers a competitive salary between $130,000 and $180,000 per year along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software and 2D drawings.
• Strong expertise in design for manufacturability and design for assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structures, mechanisms and automation equipment for high volume production.
• Demonstrate extreme ownership of projects from initial concept to production.
• Balance simultaneous projects of varying scope and complexity.
