Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer, Production (Starlink) to design the factory of the future for mass production of satellites and ground stations. You will create structures, mechanisms, and automation equipment, owning projects from concept to commissioning on a fast-paced timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• +1 year of experience designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Experience with design for high-volume production and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structures, mechanisms and automation equipment for high-volume Starlink production.
• Own projects from concept through fabrication and production bring-up.
• Coordinate with internal resources and external vendors to maintain schedule and budget.
• Assemble and commission the equipment you design.
